The 56th Annual Grammy Awards were presented on January 26, 2014, at the place Staples Center in Los Angeles. (United States of America). The Grammy Awards show was broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/PT and was hosted for the third time by LL Cool J. The show was moved to January to avoid challenging against the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi,( Russia)  as was the case in 2010.

The eligibility stage for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards was October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013.The nominations were make known on December 6, 2013 during a live televised concert on CBS, The Grammy Nominations Concert Live – Countdown to Music's Biggest Night. Jay-Z received the most nominations with nine. Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Pharrell Williams each received 7 nominations. Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams were nominated twice for both Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Sound engineer Bob Ludwig received the most nominations by a non-performing artist, with five.

Daft Punk won 5 awards including Album of the Year for Random Access Memories and Record of the Year, with Pharrell Williams, for "Get Lucky". Macklemore & Ryan Lewis won 4 trophies, including Best New Artist, and led an industry show of support for gay marriage with a presentation of their song "Same Love" to accompany a mass wedding of gay and heterosexual couples, which was presided over by Queen Latifah. Lorde's "Royals" received awards for Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year. Carole King was honored as MusiCares Person of the Year on January 24, two days prior to the awards Function.

State Bank of India conducts its Probationary Officer (POs) exam every year for eligible candidates. The guidelines regarding SBI PO Eligibility for candidates preparing for SBI PO exam is mentioned below.

SBI PO Eligibility details:

Nationality: Candidate should be citizen of India.

Age: Candidates age should not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01-04-2014 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02-04-1984 and not later than 01-04-1993 (both days inclusive).

Relation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates:
Upper age is relaxable by
(i) 3 years in the case of OBC candidates.
(ii) 5 years in the case of : (a) SC/ST candidates. (b) Ex-servicemen (including Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers) who have rendered at least five years continuous Military Service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or /on account of physical disability or have been released/discharged on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or on invalidment (c) Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu and Kashmir between 1st January, 1980 and 31st December, 1989.

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.Those who are in the Final year of their Graduation/ Semester may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before  10-08-2014.Candidate having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 10-08-2014.

SBI PO Exam Pattern is of Two Phases –
1. Written Examination and
2. Group Discussion and Interview.
A. Phase- I:
Written Examination (250 marks) consisting of Objective Tests and Descriptive Test.
(i). Objective Tests (200 marks): The Objective Tests with 2 hour duration will consists of 4 Sections with 50 marks each as follows:
(a) Test of English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
(b) Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
(c) Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation
(d) Test of Reasoning (High Level)
The candidates are required to qualify in the Objective Tests by securing passing marks, in each of the tests, to be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level for each category.
(ii). Descriptive Test (50 marks): The Descriptive Test with 1 hour duration will be of “Test of English Language (comprehension, short précis, letter writing & essay)”.

B. Phase-II:
Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks).
The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category and the candidates in the order of merit, subject to 3 times the number of vacancies in each category, will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Discussion & Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
C.Final Selection:
The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-I and Phase-II separately.
Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks maximum) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks maximum) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.

  • Representing the minor unit of Revenue Administration in charge of a particular Revenue Village.
  • Maintenance of Revenue records.
  • Preparation of Adangal / Land Tax Rolls.
  • Preparation of Demand Roll for Land Tax.
  • Collection of Land revenue.
  • Identification of sites being attached by court of law.
  • Tendering witness in the courts of law as to land disputes between private parties, Governmental bodies and private parties etc.
  • Co-ordination with Executive Magistrate in deciding easmentary rights of individuals over Government lands as per Cr.P.C.
  • Issuance of certificates to farmers for various loans for Government, Banks, Co-operative societies etc. after inspection of records and enquiry on ground reality.

  • Check and regulate the encroachment of Govt. lands including public premises by way of eviction or otherwise.
  • Up keeping of Revenue Accounts and ensuring public amenities intact by way of reporting the same to higher Authorities liaising with Civic Authorities.
  • Co-coordinating with the Tahsildar to ensure explosives/Petroleum products are stocked and maintained properly as per relevant Acts
  • Recovering dues under Central Revenue Recovery Act and remitting the same to state accounts.
  • Being alert during rainy season to watch the inhabitation of low lying areas getting the public premises like schools and community halls ready for shifting flood victims thereto in contingencies
  • Making arrangements for provision of food and clothes to the victims, shifting of affected persons from low lying areas

19. உழவர்கள் நிலப் பட்டாக்களை மாறுதல் செய்து பெறவும், புலங்களை உட்பிரிவு செய்துக் கொள்ளவும், தனிப் பட்டாக்காளை பெறவும், இயலும் வகையில் நிலப்பதிவேடு, நில அளவை ஆவணங்கள் தொடர்பாக கணக்குகளை முறையாகவும் சரியாகவும் வைத்து வருதல்.

20. பாசன வாயில்களை முறையாக பராமரித்தல், ஏரிகளிலும், நீர் வழங்கு பாசனக் கால்வாய்களிலும் ஆக்கிரமிப்புக்கள் இல்லாமல் பார்த்துக் கொள்வதன் மூலம் நீர்பாசனத்திற்கு வகை செய்தல்.

ISRO Recruitment 2014 Age Limit:

Candidates age limit is 35 years for Scientists/ Engineers ‘SC Posts and 18 years to 30 years for JRF Posts as on 20-04-2014. The upper age relaxation is 35 years for SC/ ST and 33 years for OBC candidates.

Educational Qualification for ISRO Recruitment 2014:

Candidates must possess M.E/ M.Tech or equivalent in relevant discipline with B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent for Posts 1, 2 & 3, M.Tech/ M.E/ M.Sc Engineering in Applied Optics/ Optics with B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent degree in Engineering or M.Sc Physics for Posts 4 & 8, M.Sc in Chemistry for Posts 5 & 7, B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science for Post 6 and M.Sc Physics for Post 9 and have M.E/ M.Tech with 60% marks, B.E/ B.Tech & M.Sc with 65% marks.

Selection Process of ISRO Recruitment 2014:

Candidates will be selected based on performance in Interview.

ISRO Recruitment 2014- Application Fee:

Candidates have to Pay Rs.100/- for each application in the form of Demand Draft from any of the Nationalized Bank in favour of Accounts Officer, ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore, payable at Bangalore. No Fee for Women, SC, ST, Ex-Serviceman and PWD candidates. Candidates should enter the DD Number, date and name of the Bank in the space provided in the online application.
