TNPSC Typist recruitment 2013

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has issued fresh notification for the recruitment of candidates under various positions in Madras High Court, Chennai. TNPSC is a responsible recruitment Department of Tamil Nadu which releases notification, accept applications, organizes recruitment procedure, and examinations along with selecting suitable candidates for the positions in related departments. This time TNPSC has released notification through advertisement no 19/2013 dated 22/1/2013 to invite young and talented candidates at Honorable High Court of Madras.

About Madras High Court Typist and other Vacancy

TNPSC has invited applications on behalf of Honorable High Court of Madras from eligible and skilled aspirants up to 20th day of 2013. They are trying to fill 268 posts through this recruitment process.
Total No of Vacancy: 268 posts
1.      Personal Assistant to the Hon’ble Judge: 57 posts
2.      Personal Assistant: 7 posts
3.      Assistant: 37 posts
4.      Computer Operator: 28 posts
5.      Typist: 139 posts
These posts are further distributed into reserved and unreserved categories as per notification.

Eligibility criteria for Typist Recruitment

Candidates participating in this job fair have to go through various eligibility criteria as per the notification. These criteria of qualification are as follows:

Age limits for High Court Typist and other Vacancy

Age of the candidates should be calculated as on 22/11/2013. The minimum age of candidates applying for all these posts should be 18 years as per the determined date. However, upper age limit is variable as per the category of candidates. Candidates who are already engaged in Judicial system of Madras High courts can apply up to age of 45 years, while fresh applicants belonging to SC/ SC (Arunthathiyars) ST/ MBC/ DC/ BC/ BC (Muslims) categories can apply up to age of 35 years. Applicants belonging to, other than these categories, can apply up to age of 30 years only.
For simply understanding
·         Candidates who are already engaged in Judicial system of Madras High courts – 45 Years
·         SC/ SC (Arunthathiyars) ST/ MBC/ DC/ BC/ BC (Muslims) – 35 Years
·         Other Categories – 30 Years

Educational Qualification for Typist and other Recruitment

1.      Candidates applying under this recruitment program should possess Degree in B A/ B. Sc/ B. Com or any other Bachelor’s Degree from Madras University or equivalent from a recognized university for all the posts except the post of Computer Operator.
2.      Candidates applying for Computer Operator posts should hold Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Applications from a recognized University.
3.      Additionally, these posts require special education as relevant to positions in the Madras High Court. These can be stated as:
4.      Candidates for PA to Honorable Judge and Personal Assistant posts should have passed Government technical examination in Shorthand and Typing in English by higher grade.
5.      Assistant posts candidates must possess certificate in computer on Office Automation from any recognized University.
6.      While applicants applying under Typist or Computer Operator posts should have passed Government Technical Examination in typing with higher grades in Tamil and English.

Physical fitness for High Court Vacancy

Candidates have to submit physical fitness certificate, a Form prescribed for Executive posts and non Executive posts relevant to the positions.

Application fees:

Candidates applying for Typist and including other posts have to pay examination fee towards the TNPSC. This is divided as written examination fee, Rs. 150/- and skill test fee, Rs. 50/- as per the need of vacancy related to posts.
This application fee can be paid through online or offline mode as per the convenience of applicant. Candidates who prefer to pay online can pay through Net banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card. While, candidates who wish to pay offline, have to generate online challan and pay application fee in the nearest Indian Bank branches.

Application procedure:

Candidates who wish to apply for Typist and other posts in Madras High court have to go through online process. Candidates have to visit official website www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.net and follow the process of application. They should fill application online and pay fee according to guidelines stated above in this article.
After applying, candidates should maintain Registration Number along with Email ID and mobile number till the declaration of results as all the communications will be made through this medium only.

Selection procedure:

Candidates applying for the posts no. 1 and 2 have to go through three successive stages: Written test, Skill test, and Oral test. Candidates applying under post 3 and 4 have to go through two successive stages i.e. written examination and oral test while candidates participating in Typist posts have to pass through written examination and skill test as per notification.

Exam pattern:

Candidates have to appear for 300 marks written examination consisting of papers on General Studies/ Aptitude Test and General Tamil/ English Test.
