I. Qualification:
1. Upper Division Clerk:
(a) Essential:
At least a Second class
Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science or Commerce and working
knowledge in Hindi.
(b) Desirable: Knowledge of typing. 5 years experience in Govt. or Non-Govt. office and proficiency in Computer Skills.

2. Lower Division Clerk:
(a) Essential:
Matriculation or equivalent, knowledge of Typing with a minimum speed of
30 w.p.m. (b) Desirable:
Proficiency in Computer Skills.
NOTE: (i)
The typing proficiency certificate issued by Deptt.,
of Technical Education / Govt. Authorities will alone be
considered for knowledge of typing. (ii) Physically handicapped
candidates who are certified as being unable to type are
exempted from typing qualification / typing test. Such
candidates are required to produce a medical certificate from
the Medical Board / Civil Surgeon of Govt. Hospitals. (Copy of
Medical Certificate with the application format is enclosed)
II. Age: 32 Years in case of Upper Division Clerk and 30
years for Lower Division Clerk. This age limit is relaxable by 3
years in case of OBC candidates and 5 years incase of SC / ST
candidates as per Govt. of India regulations. The Age limit
incase of physically handicapped candidates is relaxed upto 10
years for general candidates, 15 years for SC / ST candidates
and 13 years for OBC candidates. All the categories of
physically handicapped candidates viz., (i) Blindness or low
vision (ii) Hearing impaired and (iii) locomotor disability or
cerebral palsy can apply for the post. Age will be revoked as on
the last date of receipt of completed application.
Application Fee: Rs.8/- (Rupees Eight only) by Demand Draft drawn in
favour of Director, Board
of Apprenticeship Training (SR) payable at Chennai. No
application fee is payable by SC / ST candidates and also by the
physically handicapped candidates. Money-Orders or IPO will not
be accepted.
OBC Candidates applying for the post of UDC and claiming
age relation should enclose a
recent copy of OBC certificate obtained not earlier than 2 years
in the prescribed format as per O.M. No.36033/28/94-Estt.
(Res.), dated 02-07-1997 of Dept. of Per. & Trg., Govt. of India. Similarly SC / ST should
enclose a recent copy of community certificate issued by the
competent authority failing which no age relaxation will be
given. The Medical
Certificates in prescribed format should be submitted by
Orthopedically handicapped and hearing impaired candidates
applying for the post of LDC (Reserved for Physically
handicapped). The Minimum degree of disability to be become
eligible for concession / benefits is 40%.
Candidates who have applied for the Post of
Lower Division Clerk
(Reserved for OBC) in response to our Advertisement dated
27-11-2011 NEED NOT APPLY AGAIN, as their applications will
be considered along with the application now received.
General Instructions:
i.
The persons working in State /
Central Government Department and Public Sector undertakings
should send their applications through proper channel.
Incase they are unable to
send their application through proper channel, they should
produce NOC at time of interview failing which they will not be
interviewed. Other candidates can send their application
directly.
ii.
Fee once paid will not be
refunded under any circumstances.
iii.
Demand draft should have been
drawn on or after publication of the advertisement.
iv.
Candidates must write his / her
name, address and post applied for, on back of the demand draft.
v.
Candidate claiming to belong to a Scheduled Caste, Scheduled
Tribe and Other Backward community must attach to his/her
application an attested copy of a community certificate from the
competent Revenue Authorities.
vi.
The number of vacancies may vary depending on the exigencies
at the time of selection.
vii.
Applications not accompanied by the prescribed fee will not
be considered.
viii.
Mere fulfilling of essential qualifications and experience requirement
would not entail a candidate to be called for test or interview.
No correspondence will be entertained from the applicants, in
this regard.
ix.
Incomplete/unsigned applications and applications received without fee,
photograph, certified copies of required certificates such as
educational qualifications, caste/community etc. and those
received after the prescribed last date for receipt of
application, will summarily be rejected without any
communication to the candidate. No further correspondence will
been entertained in this regard. Candidates should, therefore,
enclose with the application attested copies of certificates for
the educational qualification, age, experience, community
certificates, application fee(if applicable).
x.
BOAT(SR) will not be responsible for any postal delay / loss in transit
in submission of application within specified time.
xi.
Wrong declarations/submissions of false information or any other action
contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at
any stage.
xii.
The application in the
prescribed format along with Xerox copies of
all certificates including community and experience certificates
should be sent before last date.
The envelope should be
superscribed on the top as
“APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF
_______________________”. No TA / DA will be paid
to attend the typing test / interview.
Last date of receipt
of completely filled application form is
19-11-2012.
