SBI PO Recruitment 2014 Age limit:
 Candidates age should not be below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01-04-2014 (Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02-04-1984 and not later than 01-04-1993). Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ EXS candidates.

Educational Qualification for SBI PO Recruitment 2014:

Candidates should posses Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Selection Process of SBI PO Recruitment 2014:

Candidates are selected based on Objective Test, Descriptive Test, Group Discussion & Interview.

Application Fee for SBI PO Recruitment 2014:
Candidates have to pay Rs.500/- for General & Others and Rs .100/- for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates through Online/ Offline Mode.
Offline Mode: Candidates have to pay the fee through system generated cash voucher/ challan form at any State Bank of India branch counter from 10-04-2014 to 28-04-2014.
Online Mode: Candidates have to pay the fee by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking from 07-04-2014 to 25-04-2014.

Candidates can apply online from the website www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in from 07-04-2014 to 25-04-2014.

Online Instructions for SBI PO Recruitment 2014:

1. Before applying candidates have to make payment as mentioned above.
2. Candidates should have valid Email ID which should be kept active till the declaration of results.
3. Candidates should first scan their photograph and signature before applying online.
3. Log on to www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in
4. Click on ‘Apply Online’.
5. Fill all the details in the application form and the fee payment details at the appropriate places.
6. Upload Photo and Signature also.
7. After filling all the details click on ‘Submit’ button.
8. A registration number and password will be generated by the system, note the registration number and password for future reference and use.
9. After successfully submission of online application, take a print out of the online application form and retain it for further assistance.

SBI PO Recruitment 2014 Eligibility:

State Bank of India conducts its Probationary Officer (POs) exam every year for eligible candidates. The guidelines regarding SBI PO Eligibility for candidates preparing for SBI PO exam is mentioned below.

SBI PO Eligibility details:

Nationality: Candidate should be citizen of India.

Age: Candidates age should not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01-04-2014 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02-04-1984 and not later than 01-04-1993 (both days inclusive).

Relation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates:
Upper age is relaxable by
(i) 3 years in the case of OBC candidates.
(ii) 5 years in the case of : (a) SC/ST candidates. (b) Ex-servicemen (including Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers) who have rendered at least five years continuous Military Service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or /on account of physical disability or have been released/discharged on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or on invalidment (c) Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu and Kashmir between 1st January, 1980 and 31st December, 1989.

SBI PO Recruitment 2014 Educational Qualification:

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.Those who are in the Final year of their Graduation/ Semester may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before  10-08-2014.Candidate having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 10-08-2014.

SBI PO Exam Pattern


SBI PO Exam Pattern:  State Bank of India conducts Probationary Officer Exam every year for eligible candidates. The guidelines regarding SBI PO Exam Pattern for candidates preparing for SBI PO exam is mentioned below.

SBI PO Exam Pattern details:


SBI PO Exam Pattern is of Two Phases –
1. Written Examination and
2. Group Discussion and Interview.
A. Phase- I:
Written Examination (250 marks) consisting of Objective Tests and Descriptive Test.
(i). Objective Tests (200 marks): The Objective Tests with 2 hour duration will consists of 4 Sections with 50 marks each as follows:
(a) Test of English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
(b) Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
(c) Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation
(d) Test of Reasoning (High Level)
The candidates are required to qualify in the Objective Tests by securing passing marks, in each of the tests, to be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level for each category.
(ii). Descriptive Test (50 marks): The Descriptive Test with 1 hour duration will be of “Test of English Language (comprehension, short précis, letter writing & essay)”.

B. Phase-II:
Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks).
The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category and the candidates in the order of merit, subject to 3 times the number of vacancies in each category, will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Discussion & Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
C.Final Selection:
The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-I and Phase-II separately.
Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks maximum) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks maximum) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.

2. Group discussion and Interview:
Candidate who have qualified in the written examination will be called for group discussion and interview depending up on the vacancies in each category, subject to maximum of 3 times of the vacancies.
